QuickDoc is medical reference designed for primary care health care professionals. It is particularly suited for General Practitioners. The sole aim is to provide the immediately necessary information for the daily management of patients. Information is presented in a bite-sized format and is by no means, a comprehensive medical resource.
QuickDoc summarises guidelines from a range of reputable resources. Unless otherwise stated, UK guidelines have been referenced and the information presented will thus represent best practice guidelines in the UK. QuickDoc also contains external links to reputable sources. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the contents of QuickDoc is up to date and correct, QuickDoc can not be held responsible for any errors.
QuickDoc was created and is maintained by Dr Niranjan Paudyal – a Leeds based locum GP.
As a locum GP, I work within different surgeries on a daily bases. Having found it very difficult keeping track of guidelines and memory aids which would otherwise be stuck to my office wall, I decided to create QuickDoc. Despite the existence of various good resources such as GPNotebook and Patient.info, I felt there was a need for QuickDoc in providing information in a more concise manner – rather similar to a “mobile whiteboard” which I could access whichever GP surgery I was in. This has meant that I am not having to constantly hunt for routinely used information and memory aids during patient care.
I hope you find this as useful as much as I do.
